Itinerary – One Day Tour – Lancelin – Moore River Estuary

We meet at 7.50 am to be on the road at 8.00 am in Perth CBD.

Chocolate Drops Tearooms

We leave the Perth CBD to go to the Yanchep National Park. When we arrive, we enjoy our morning tea in the Chocolate Drops Tearooms, a specialty Chocolate Shop and Tearooms. It is a chocolate ‘haven’ that integrates with the historical and cultural surroundings. They have been creating unique quality handmade chocolates with an authentic Australian focus since 2005

Freshly fortified, we now visit the koala enclosure. Though not native to Western Australia, Yanchep has been home to a colony of koalas since 1938. The koala, incorrectly called koala bear,  is a herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only living member of the Phascolarctidae, and its closest living relatives are the wombats, members of the Vombatidae. One of Australia’s best-known species can be seen among the tree branches from the elevated walkway.

Lancelin, with all the sand, the waves and the sunsets, is the next point of interest. The community of Lancelin on the Turquoise Coast is one of the country’s best-kept holiday secrets. Locals and international tourists quickly love the gleaming white dunes, clean beaches, and a laid-back coastal lifestyle. But be warned: visiting Lancelin is addictive, as are the activities on offer in the area, including sandboarding, dolphin watching and fishing. We will explore it, feel it, watch it.

Now, lunchtime is looming after we have explored the famous dunes. We recover by a sumptuous lunch at the Dunes Restaurant. They cater and offer meals to suit most dietary requirements, Vegan, Vegetarian & Gluten-free and are specialised in great food. We have fantastic views of the ocean and can dine inside or outside

After a beautiful meal, we look for the other attractions Lancelin offers. For instance, the tiny township is notable for its stunning rugged white beaches. The Lancelin Lookout is a great vantage point from which you have a magnificent view of the beach and the sunset. Islands and dunes are also visible from this point. Another significant point is Lancelin Jetty, where we have a nice view of the beach and Lancelin Island.

It is now early afternoon, and we visit Guilderton and the Moore River estuary. Guilderton is a nature-based tourist attraction about 100 km north of Perth, just off Indian Ocean Drive. The town is on the last remaining estuary (Moore River) in the Swan Coastal Plain, untouched by developments. Residents strive to preserve the virtually unchanged environment as much as possible for present and future generations to enjoy. The place invites you to take a beach walk to where the Indian Ocean and the Moore River meet. The Moore Estuary Lookout offers an unsurpassed view of the sea and river.

Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park, our last stop for the day, is widely considered Australia’s most environmentally responsible final resting place. Since its inception in 1978, the park has been developed and maintained as a natural bushland cemetery, planted with native species only, with flat bronze plaques to mark graves. The natural environment of Pinnaroo provides a haven for many native birds and animals, including kangaroos. In addition, the grounds are a popular attraction for varied outdoor activities like walking and picnicking. So why are we stopping here? It is because of the many kangaroos that can be seen here in the late afternoon.

Itinerary – One Day Tour – Toodyay – York

Noble Falls

We meet at 7.50 am to be on the road at 8.00 am in Midland and travel to the scenic Noble Falls to capture your waterfall moment surrounded by tranquil jarrah, marri and blackbutt bushland. Come with Otto Tours Australia in spring, and you can stroll amongst the wildflowers, including rare species found nowhere else on Earth.

After a short break and a photo stop, we are heading to Toodyay, located in a valley for all Seasons. It is a charming heritage town with a farming background. Step back in time and be transported to the past as you walk down the main street. Be welcomed to the Living History Walking Trails through the historic townsite and meet the legend of Moondyne Joe, too. But first things first. After arrival, you will be invited to a morning tea in the famous Toodyay Bakery, awarded Australia’s Greatest Apple Pie in 2019. Afterwards, you have time to stroll through the town. If you get lost, we will find you in WA’s most prominent regional Christmas shop, where you can relive your childhood before we leave for York.

Christmass shop Toodyay
York from Mt Brown

The tour proceeds to York via some beautiful backroads.  Sometimes, we may see camels or emus. York is the oldest inland European settlement in WA, on the Avon River on Ballardong Noongar land. The settling started in 1831, the town became established in 1835, and the first building was erected in 1836. Today, York is renowned for its heritage buildings, art and annual festivals. Between mid-August and September, the spectacular canola crop flowers in yellow. On arrival, we visited Mt Bakewell, which is a beautiful lookout. Pretty sure you are getting hungry. Therefore, we invite you to a sumptuous lunch at the Imperial Homestead. Later, you have time to roam through York until we leave for our next destination.

Our next attraction is waiting: Mundaring Weir; we rewind our way to the Great Eastern Highway. If possible, we have a photo stop during the spectacular yellow flowering canola season. At Mundaring Weir, enjoy the beautiful scenery by walking over the Dam. From July to November, you can observe the wildflower season and appreciate the striking array of native flowers.

Lesmurdie Falls

On our way to Lesmurdie Falls, we drive through the newly established Beelu- and Kalamunda NP before we reach Lesmurdie Falls, located in the Mundy Regional Park in the hills east of Perth. It is one of the more spectacular waterfalls on the Darling Range escarpment. Marvel the view over the city with a glorious sunset.

The day ends at the car park in Midland.

Ferguson Valley | One Day Tour

Wellington Dam Mural

One of the greates mural in the world

Ferguson Valley

Hilly undulating countryside

MEET AMAZING CREATORS IN THE FERGUSON VALLEY

Welllington Dam Mural

Wellington Dam Mural, Fergiuson Valley

Wellington Dam Mural – Ferguson Valley

Just out of Bunbury, a journey to the Wellington Dam and through the Ferguson Valley is one to remember, leading to an enormous mural called one of the biggest in the world. It also features an impressive backdrop of rolling hills with grazing cattle, meandering streams, misty mornings and astounding autumn colours.

When we drive along steep, winding roads, the views are bound to take your breath away.

Enjoy local art and taste the local produce, one of the finest in Australia.

Itinerary – One Day Tour – Ferguson Valley

The Ferguson Valley Tour starts at the car park next to the Gosnells Bowling Club, 2271 Albany Highway, Gosnells, WA 6110, at 7.50 am.

Stirling Cottage

As soon as we leave Armadale, we wind our way through the green pastures of the South West Highway with beautiful scenic views to Harvey for morning tea on the balcony of the replica Stirling Cottage, overlooking the Harvey River. You can take your time to view the May Gibbs gumnut display in the visitor centre and enjoy the beautiful gardens and mini orchards afterwards. Maybe you are lucky to spot a Pacific Black Duck or a Pale Flecked Garden Sunskink!

Welcome to Gnomesville…

… your next photographic opportunity! Guess how many gnomes live here. As a piece of first information there are thousands. The Gnomes are the official gatekeepers, along with the extraordinary volunteer work and support from the Shire of Dardanup in the Ferguson Valley, Western Australia. Be a bit quirky and bring along your little Gnome to add to the village!

Harvey Käserei
St. Aidan's church, Ferguson Valley

After a quirky side-trip to visit Gnomesville, home to over 3000 gnomes of all shapes and sizes, meet the majestic King Jarrah, an ancient 36-metre timber giant, ruling over the surrounding marri, karri and jarrah forests of Wellington National Park – 17000-hectare camping, fishing, swimming, canoeing, rafting, mountain biking and bushwalking playground. King Jarrah offers a chance to view the tallest Jarrah tree in the park. It is estimated to be between 300 and 500 years old. The tree has survived bushfires, storms, lighting and insect attacks.

Lunchtime is looming, so we make our way to a lovely restaurant at the banks of the Ferguson River, which the owners describe as a patch of heaven in the ‘Ferguson Valley’. The Chef has designed our menu around the season’s best offerings. We invite you to a sumptuous lunch.

The picturesque red brick church St. Aidan next to the restaurant was built in 1954 after the original church burnt down in the early morning hours on Friday 14th, April in the fires of 1950, which swept through from the Collie River to Donnybrook.

Wood Gallery and Museum Australind

Guido van Helton painted the Wellington Dam Mural In 2021, an 8000 square metre mural on the dam wall, titled “Reflections”. It took four months to complete and features images of Collie mines workers, families playing in the water, Aboriginal children and other scenes taken from actual photographs of Collie’s history. With the $1.5M dam mural project coming under budget, an extra 19 murals were recently added to the trail, totalling 40 works done by WA artists. The team behind the mural’s commissioning and development believe it to be the world’s most giant dam mural. But Van Helten said that while the mural had been described as the largest of its type, it had not been his reason to paint it. “I don’t want it to be just about that,” he said. “Size doesn’t matter. It’s about how well it was executed.”

Potters Gorge Campground – Wellington National Park is situated on the shores of Wellington Dam; in a shady forest setting, Potters Gorge has good views across the dam’s backwaters.

18 Days Perth to Darwin Tour

Comfortable small group trip to grandiose and hidden natural wonders during the famous wildflower bloom in western Australia

The modern coach for 14 people takes you through the most beautiful side of Australia. That guarantees an unforgettable travel experience to Western Australia’s most fascinating natural wonders as a privileged travel group. The program includes Kimberley, the endlessly blue Lake Argyle, the tiny settlements of Derby, Kununurra, over-the-border Katherine Gorge, and countless other destinations worth seeing, some relatively unknown. In a reliable minibus with experienced specialists on board, experience is guaranteed, and safety is paramount

All this can be safely enjoyed as a SMALL COACH TOUR or as a PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR guided by a very experienced tour guide.

Travel description

The most original Australia is likely found in western Australia (Western Australia). Only a few first-time visitors find this worth a trip. It doesn’t have to be. Western Australia is definitely worth a trip for anyone who feels like going to Australia. The emerging tourist region of Western Australia spans a third of Australia’s total land area. Most places worth seeing are in a wonderful color spectrum, and you can experience an obvious starry sky at night.

A trip through Western Australia is an extraordinary experience and should be experienced in stages. Therefore, this tour is a continuous overland trip between Perth and Darwin. Its length is about 8000 km, including the side roads and the tour through the southwest. With a minibus with a maximum of 14 seats, the number of participants is limited and manageable, making maximum flexibility possible. That is the only way to perceive and experience the sequence of numerous unique attractions, including the World Heritage Sites. Our tour is deliberately carried out in the climatically dry season since pleasant temperatures prevail throughout the Australian winter and spring. In September, the wildflowers can also be seen in full bloom. For climatic reasons, we hold the second appointment immediately afterwards in the opposite direction, starting in Darwin and ending in Perth. However, weather-related changes in the travel itinerary must always be expected, especially in the tropical north. We offer an Australia program for everyone who wants to experience Australia in its diversity, vastness, infinity, and originality. Travel description

The most original Australia is likely found in western Australia (Western Australia). Only a few first-time visitors find this worth a trip. However, it doesn’t have to be. Western Australia is definitely worth a trip for anyone who feels like going to Australia. The emerging tourist region of Western Australia spans a third of Australia’s total land area with a population of approximately three million people; around two and a half million live in Perth, the only coast followed by an extensive hinterland that is also worth exploring. Perth joined as a metropolis west of the continent, beautifully situated in the southwest of the Indian Ocean. Most places worth seeing are in a beautiful colour spectrum, and you can experience a clear starry sky at night. Travelling through Western Australia is an extraordinary experience. Come more often and enjoy the country and its people in miniature stages. You will get more out of it. Therefore, this tour is a continuous overland trip between Perth and Darwin. Their length is about 8000 km, including the side roads and the time through the southwest.

With a coach with a maximum of 14 seats, the number of participants is limited and manageable, making maximum flexibility possible. It is the only way to perceive and experience the sequence of numerous unique attractions, including the World Heritage Sites. Our tour is deliberately carried out in the climatically dry season since pleasant temperatures prevail throughout the Australian winter and spring. From July to October is wildflower season with an unrivalled wealth of colour.  We hold the second appointment immediately afterwards in the opposite direction for climatic reasons, starting in Darwin and ending in Perth. However, especially in the tropical north, changes to the itinerary always happen due to weather conditions. We offer an Australian program for everyone who wants to experience Australia in its diversity, vastness, infinity, and originality. On request, you can participate in a six-day additional program in the country’s extreme southwest.

You can expect consistently good roads – exceptions are possible – and a long, intensive driving program with regular breaks. Overnight stays are in local hotels, motels, chalets, park homes, and comfortable safari tents. You will find the cheapest meals outside the hotels. Therefore, we included just the daily breakfast. Drivers and tour guides will know what is right for them. Nevertheless, it makes sense to bring a lot of perseverance, willingness to help, comradeship and willingness to help guarantee the success of this extraordinary, multifaceted journey.

A balanced mix of experience and relaxation is a particular concept. Depending on the guests’ situation, wishes and interests, individual experiences and activities are woven into each day.

The highlight - the wildflower bloom in spring

In spring - north of Perth (July / August) and south of Perth (September / October) - Western Australia's dry zones and heaths turned into a sea of colourful flowers, at least where there was sufficient rainfall in winter. More than 12,000 different types of wildflowers transform the wilderness into a carpet of flowers in some places. Winter in Western Australia is an entirely new experience.

From July to October, over 12,000 wildflower species bloom explosively in this state. Follow this lively trail to Ningaloo Reef, where you can snorkel across schools of tropical fish and corals.

The bright colours will enchant you in the rugged Kalbarri National Park north of Geraldton or Perth's well-kept Kings Park. The sea of flowers leads you to the waves, Margaret River Caves and Wineries. Let the blooms take you through the karri forests on the Bibbulmun Track, or take in the incredible variety of flowers in Albany. Then, in a modern small coach for 14 people, you will drive through the most beautiful side of Australia. That ensures an unforgettable travel experience to Western Australia's most impressive natural wonders. as a privileged tour group.

The program includes Kimberley, Ningaloo Reef, Monkey Mia, Karijini National Park, and countless other enjoyable, sometimes unknown, destinations.

Western Australia is definitely worth a trip for anyone who feels like going to Australia. The emerging tourist region of Western Australia spans a third of Australia’s total land area with a population of approximately 2.8 million people, of which more than 2 million live in Perth, the only coast followed by an extensive hinterland that is also worth exploring. They are accompanied by a metropolis in the west of the continent, beautifully situated in the southwest of the Indian Ocean. Most places worth seeing are in a wonderful color spectrum, and you can experience an obvious starry sky at night.

A trip through Western Australia is an extraordinary experience and should be experienced in stages. Therefore, this tour is a continuous overland trip between Perth and Darwin. Their length is about 8000 km, including the side roads and the tour through the southwest. For climatic reasons, we hold the second appointment immediately afterward in the opposite direction, starting in Darwin and ending in Perth. However, especially in the tropical north, weather-related changes in the travel itinerary must always be expected. We offer an Australia program for everyone who wants to experience Australia in its diversity, vastness, infinity, and originality. On request, you can participate in a six-day additional program in the country’s extreme southwest.

You can expect consistently good roads – exceptions are possible – and a long, intensive driving program with regular breaks. Overnight stays are in local hotels, motels, chalets, park homes, and comfortable safari tents. The cheapest meal options are outside the hotels, so only the daily breakfast is included. Drivers and tour guides will know what is right for them. Nevertheless, it makes sense to bring a lot of perseverance, willingness to help, comradeship and willingness to guarantee the success of this extraordinary, multifaceted journey.
